Learning IBM AIX NIM LPAR & VIO course in Gurgaon - Benefits, Advantages & Placements.

We have identified the benefits of learning ibm-aix-nim-lpar--vio course in Gurgaon.
IBM AIX NIM LPAR & VIO training in Gurgaon is part of AIX Administration training course class, AIX or Advanced Interactive eXecutive is an open operating system from IBM. It is based on a version of UNIX. AIX/ESA was designed for IBMs System/390 or large server hardware platform. AIX/6000 is an operating system that runs on IBMs workstation platform, the RISC System/6000. AIX Network Installation Management (NIM) allows you to manage the installation of the Base Operating System (BOS) and optional software on one or more machines. You can install a group of machines with a common configuration or customize an installation for the specific needs of a given machine. The number of machines you can install simultaneously depends on the throughput of your network, the disk access throughput of the installation servers, and the platform type of your servers. The NIM environment includes client and server machines. A server provides resources. A machine that is dependent on a server to provide resources is known as a client. Any machine that receives NIM resources is a client, although the same machine can also be a server in the overall network environment.

A logical partition (LPAR) is the division of a computers processor s, memory and storage into multiple sets of resources. This is done so that each set of resources can be operated independently with its own operating system instance and applications. The number of logical partitions that can be created depends on the systems processor model and resources available. Typically, partitions are used for different purposes such as database operation or client/server operation or to separate test and production environments. Each partition can communicate with the other partitions as if the other partition is in a separate machine. Logical partitioning was first studied by IBM in 1976 and later introduced by Amdahl and then IBM. Hitachi and Sun Microsystems also use forms of logical partitioning.

The VIOS (Virtual I/O Server) is part of the PowerVM Editions hardware feature. The VIOS is software that is located in a logical partition. This software facilitates the sharing of physical I/O resources between client logical partitions within the server. The VIOS provides virtual Small Computer Serial Interface (SCSI) target, virtual Fibre Channel, Shared Ethernet Adapter, and PowerVM Active Memory Sharing capability to client logical partitions within the system. The VIOS also provides the Suspend/Resume and remote restart features to AIX®, IBM i, and Linux client logical partitions within the system.
