Target Audience
Candidates interested in earning the CISSP certification must have a minimum of 5 years of full time security professional work experience in at least 2 of the 10 domains (ISC)2 CISSP CBK, OR 4 years of direct full time security professional work in at least 2 of the 10 domains of the CISSP CBK, plus a 4-year degree prior to taking the CISSP examination. Associate of (ISC) 2 status is attainable to those individuals who are knowledgeable in key information security concepts and can pass the examination, but still need more work experience to qualify for the CISSP certification.
Learning Objectives
The course offers a job-related approach to the security process, demonstrating the immediate application of concepts and techniques described in the CBK and providing a basic introduction to security management, architecture and engineering.
The course comprises ten sessions that map directly to the (CBK), each one is theory based with instructor led discussions.
The work completed in the classroom should be complemented by extra reading; references to internet resources will be provided by the instructor.
