Often, have noticed people in corporate world talking about “VMWare”, the word seems to be buzz to  someone hears it first time, but it’s one of the big cake in the job market both in India and globally.

VMWare & Virtualization:

if you notice, all our x86 built computers are designed to run on a single operating system and a single application, leaving our computer / server vastly underutilized. Virtualization allows us to build and run mutliple instances of virtual computer on a single desktop computer or server by each virtual computer sharing the one computer’s phycial resources like RAM, Hard Disk, CPU etc. In Simple terms, we can Run multiple operating systems on a single computer including Windows, Linux simoultaneously for different applications running at the same time.

Virtualization works by inserting a thin layer of software directly on the computer hardware or on a host operating system. This contains a virtual machine monitor or “hypervisor” that allocates hardware resources dynamically and transparently. Multiple operating systems run concurrently on a single physical computer and share hardware resources with each other.
